    Number of containers = 74.404 = 75 Container (Approx)

Total cost of the containers = £3,387

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Given:

    Required stone = 60 tonnes

1 m³ of the stones = 1.8 tonnes

Size of container of stones = 80 cm by 80 cm by 70 cm

    Each container costs = £45.16

    Computation:

    Volume of each container = 80 cm * 80 cm * 70 cm

Volume of each container = 448,000 Cm³ = 0.448 m³

Weight of each container = 0.448 m³ * 1.8 tonnes

Weight of each container = 0.8064 tonnes

Number of containers = Required stone / Weight of each container

    Number of containers = 60 tonnes / 0.8064 tonnes

    Number of containers = 74.404 = 75 Container (Approx)

Total cost of the containers = 75 Container * £45.16

Total cost of the containers = £3,387
