Just plug the number for each letter it tell you plug 5 for letter a and then plug - 3 for y

    2 (5) + (5) (-3)

    10-15

    -5

    Just plug in a = 5, y = - 3 in that!

    2a + ay = 2 (5) + 5 (-3) = 10 - 15 = - 5

    thats it!
