    ( - 4, - 5)

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Given the 2 equations

    2x - y = - 3 → (1)

    3x + 4y = - 32 → (2)

    Multiplying (1) by 4 and adding to (2) will eliminate the term in y

    8x - 4y = - 12 → (3)

    Add (2) and (3) term by term to eliminate y

    11x = - 44 (divide both sides by 11)

    x = - 4

    Substitute x = - 4 into either of the 2 equations for corresponding value of y

    Substituting in (2) gives

    3 ( - 4) + 4y = - 32

    - 12 + 4y = - 32 (add 12 to both sides)

    4y = - 20 (divide both sides by 4)

    y = - 5

    Solution is ( - 4, - 5)
