    Very easy to find out!

    Parenthesis in this case without and plus or minus sign means that you multiply with the number from the outside!

    2 x (2x+3)

    So you multiply 2X2'x' = 4x

    The commas are used to separate the statement from the variable which is X. X is a variable which means it can change and is used in math.

    Then you take the 3 and multiply by the outside 2 aswell

    2x3=6

    Then you will add them because inside the parenthesis it says that those two number should be added. So you will get

    4x+6

    Now since you are trying to see if they are equivalent that means you will have to check out the other side

    Although they didn't finish the statement you can still combine any terms that can be combined. For example 1x+1x=2x (can be combined) but 1+1x = 1+1x because it cannot be combined.

    So 3'x'+6+'x'=4x+6 because 3x+x combine.

    So now you can find out 4x+6=4x+6 are Equivalent!
