How do I solve 5 log x equals negative 15

    5 becomes the power of x

    So, log x^5 = - 15

    Using the logarithmic rule, and since base is not mentioned it should be 10,

    Therefore:

    x^5 = 10^ - 15

    x^5 = 10^ - 3 (5) now the powers are equal so,

    x = 10^-3

    x = - 1000.
