Two simultaneous equations

y = 7. Find the value of x and y.

    2x + Y = 5

    3x + Y = 7

    subtracting equation 2 ... from 1

    X = 2

    then substitute X to get Y

    2 (2) + Y = 5

    4 + Y = 5

    Y = - 1
