There are 48 cards in a pack and each card is either red or black.

The ratio of the number of red cards to the number of black cards is 1:1

8 red cards are removed from the pack.

Find the ratio of the number of red cards now in the pack to the number of black cards now in the pack.

Give your answer in its simplest form.

    Then 8 red cards are taken away, so 24-8=16

    The new ratio from red to black is now 16:24
