    Answer: After 8 hours.

    Step-by-step explanation:

Here, x represents the hour after which Charley has packed the same number of boxes.

Here, Teddy has 23 boxes of juice packed and plans to pack 3 additional boxes each hour.

Therefore, after h hour the number of boxes teddy has = 23 + 3x

And, Charley has 7 boxes packed and plans to pack 5 additional boxes each hour.

Therefore, after h hour the number of boxes Charley has = 5x + 7

    And, according to the question,

    23 + 3x = 5x + 7

    ⇒ 23 = 5x - 3x + 7 (By the addition property of equality)

    ⇒ 23 - 7 = 2x (By the subtraction property of equality)

    ⇒ 16 = 2x

    ⇒x = 16/2 = 8 (By the division property of equality)

Thus, after 8 hours both have the same number of boxes.
