First convert the percentage to a fraction by dividing it by 100.

    65/100=.65

    Then multiply that by 48

    48·.65=31.20

Therefore Lee has saved $31.20 so far.

To figure out how much she needs left, subtract how much she has saved by how much it costs:

    48-31.20=16.80

Therefore, she needs to save $16.80 more to be able to buy the pair of jeans.
