Drop a perpendicular line from a vertex to opposite side

This forms 2 triangles whose side are in the ratio 2:1:sqrt3

    The 2 is equivalent to 8 so the height is sqrt3/2 * 8 = 4 sqrt3 units (answer)

(or 6.93 units to nearest hundredth.)

an equilateral triangle has a square root height if 3 so I'm guessing if you multiply square root of 3 times 8
