The seats at a local baseball stadium are arranged so that each row has five more seats than the row below it. If there are 4 seats in the 1st row, how many seats are in row 23?

    Formula

    L = a + (n - 1) * d

    Substitute and solve

    L = 4 + (23 - 1) * 5

    L = 4 + 22*5

    L = 4 + 110
