A circle has a circumference of x feet and an area of y square feet. If x=2y, what is the radius of the circle

    Formula: circumference = 2πr

    Formula: Area = πr²

    -

    Given circumference = x and area = y and x = 2y

    -

    2πr = 2πr²

    Divide by 2πr on both sides:

    r = 1

    -

    Answer: r = 1
