When meredith cleaned her room she found that the ratio of clean clothes to dirty clothes was 2-5. If 35 peices of clothing were discovered how many were clean

    You can set up a proportion which would be 2/5 = x/35 You then would cross multiply leaving you with 5x = 70. Then you get x by itself, which would mean x is 14.

    Then you can double check by plugging it in because 5 x 7 = 35 you would plug in 2 x 7 and that equals 14

    7*2 = 14

    The answer is 14.
