can absolute value equations be equal to zero? my textbook says no but there are multiple equations equaling 0 or a negative numbers once I simplify.

    Yes it can be. Absolute value is how many spaces away from zero there are. And if if I doesn't move, then it is zero spaces away from zero. Sorry if this question doesn't make sense. But all I'm saying is yes
