    movie = $4.25

    vg = $5.25

    Step-by-step explanation:

    let x = $ of a movie

    let y = $ of a vg

    6x + 2y = 36

    3x + 5y = 39

    multiply the first one by 3 and the second by 6

    18x + 6y = 108

    18x + 30y = 234

    subtract

    18x cancels out 18x

    -24y = - 126

    divide - 126 by - 24

    y = $5.25

    plug y into first equation

    x = $4.25
