first you should go left to right when solving these equations:

    5/12 ∙ 1/5

    = 5/60

Then you multiply 5/60 and 8

5/60 ∙ 8/1 (8/1 is still a whole number. It makes it easier to multiply)

    = 40/60 = 2/3

    So, the answer is 2/3.
