A cone shaped scoop is being used to fill a

cylindrical bucket of water. The scoop and the

bucket have the same height and radius. How

many scoops of water would it take to fill the

bucket 15 times?

    The volume of a cone is (one third) of the volume of a cylinder which has the same height as the cone and the same base radius as the cone.

    So, you need 3 volumes of cone to fill the cylinder.
