What would this be simplify (-10) ^2

    Note that when a number is to the power of 2, just multiply the number to itself once.

    (-10) ^2 = (-10) (-10)

    (-10) x (-10) = 100

    (Note that two negatives, when multiplied, will result in a positive answer)

    100 is your answer
