The waxman's just opened a carpet store. Their start up cost were $5000, and their cost of carpet is $8 per square yard. How many square yards of carpet do they need to sell in order to break even if they sell the carpet for $ 18 per square yard?

    So you would do 5000 divided by 8 which is 625, then you take that number and divide by 18 which will lead you to the answer 34.7 but you can round it to the nearest tenths and be 35 square yards.
