Provide a Venn diagram and specify whether the following argument is valid or invalid:

No mammals are reptiles.

Some reptiles are gators.

Hence, some gators are not mammals.

    In venn diagram

    M=Mammals

    R=Reptiles

    G=Gators

    Given that

    No mammals are reptiles, So in the diagram we indicates by cross sign (x). Also given that some reptiles are gators, so venn diagram of reptiles and gators will cross each other.

    But from the above statement we can say that those gators are reptiles can not be mammals but those are not reptiles they can be mammals. Hence some gators are not mammals.

    So given argument is valid
