    30 Apples in all.

    Kristy eats a sixth. Kristy eats = (1/6) * 30 = 5.

    Lauren eats (2/5) that are left =

    Left = 30 - 5 = 25.

    Lauren = 2/5 * 25 = 10.

    I then eat 7.

    Number left = (30 - 5-10-7) = 8

    8 left.
