    y - intercept = - 9, x - intercept = 12

    To find the intercepts, that is where the graph of the equation crosses the x and y axes

    • let x = 0, inthe equation for y - intercept

    • let y = 0, in the equation for x - intercept

    x = 0 → 4y = - 36 ⇒ y = - 9 ⇒ (0, - 9) → y - intercept

    y = 0 → - 3x = - 36 ⇒ x = 12 ⇒ (12, 0) → x - intercept
