Use parenthesis to rewrite 15:3+2*11, so that it had a value of 33

    No parenthesis would give you 27, so you know that's not the answer. If we plugged in parenthesis for 15/3 or 2x11, it wouldn't change anything, so the only place to put the parenthesis is:

    15 / (3+2) x11=33

    15 / (3+2) * 11

    By grouping the three and the two, they become five and since 15/5 is 3 and 3*11 is 33, it is now correct.
