3 (2x - 4) = 6 (x - 2)

    using distributive property, 3 times 2x is 6x and 3 times - 4 is - 12.

    (6x-12) = 6 (x-2).

    Distributive property once again for the right side is 6x-12. Therefore,

    6x-12 is equal to 6x-12
