Compare and contrast the identity property of addition to the identity property of multiplication. How are these properties alike? How are they different?

    Multiplicitve you multply the number or variable for algebra by one, nad you still receive the same answerEx1: 1a=a2 (1) = 2While on the other hand additive identity you add zero to the number or variable and still receive the same answerEx2: 2+0=2a+0=a

    For example, 4 x 2 is the same as 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 (two added to itself, four times).
