    4x + 5 = 4x - 1

    Move all terms containing

    x to the left side of the equation.

    4x-4x+5=-1

    Subtract 4x-4x = 0

    0+5 = 1

    5 = - 1

    Since - 1≠5, there are no solutions. No solution
