Joe’s mountain had a rise of 1200 and a run of 1500, making the slope of the mountain 4/5. Bob’s mountain had a rise of 900 and a run of 1000, making the slope of the mountain 9/10. Since 9/10 is larger than 4/5, the slope of Bob’s mountain is steeper than the slope of Joe’s mountain.
