    Not only could these measurements not be the sides of a right triangle, but they also could not be the measurements of any triangle at all. This is because the lengths of the two shortest sides of a triangle must be greater than the longest side. As you can see with the measurements of A, that is not the case.

    4 + 10 < 16

    Therefore, these measurements do not even create a triangle.
