A local little league has a total of 90 players of whom are 40%, are left handed. How many left-handed players are there?

    First make this:

    x/90 = 40/100 (percent)

    Then cross multiply ... (Don't know how to explain so search it up)

    90x40 = 3600

    ... then divide (by the remaining number)

    3600/100=36 left handed players
