    The slope of 4x plus 6y equals 12 is x = 3-3/2y

I don't understand the other comment but do this

    1) 4x+6y=12 and subtract 4x from both sides

    2) 6y = 12-4x. Then divide each side by 6

    3) y = 2 - 4/6 x.

-4/6 x is your slope. So simplify it to - 2/3 and that's your answer
