The area of square garden is 300m squared. How long is the diagonal?

    I know there is an easier way to do but I am gonna show you a way that I can remember best.

    first you want to find the height and base. Of a square, that is isn't to hard since the height is equal the base.

    So, squareroot 300.

    Which is about 17.3

    Now we are gonna do the Pythagorean Theorem.

    a^2 + b^2 = c^2

    So replace a and b with 17.3

    17.3^2 + 17.3^2 = c^2

    Okay, so now square 17.3- - Oh look, we already have it.

    300 + 300 = c^2

    300 + 300 = 600 (Which now we need to squareroot 600 to get our c alone.

    Squareroot of 600 = 24.5

    So it is 24.5m
