yes, event A and B independent

    Step-by-step explanation:

    given data

    P (A) = 0.25

    P (B) = 0.60

    P (A and B) = 0.15

    solution

    we know here P (A and B) = 0.15

so we know here for independent

    P (A and B) is = P (A) * P (B) ... 1

so we take here R. H. S here in equation 1 and put here value

    P (A) * P (B)

    P (A) * P (B) = 0.25 * 0.60

    P (A) * P (B) = 0.15

    so it is equal to L. H. S = R. H. S

so, we can say that A and B are independent
