How long a ladder must you have to reach the top of a 15-foot wall if the bottom of the ladder is placed 4 feet from the base of the wall? Round to the nearest tenth of afoot.

    19.0 ft because you need a 15.0 ft ladder to get to the top of a 15.0 ft wall. The problem says that the ladder has to be place 4 feet from the base of the wall, therefore adding 4 feet to the 15 foot ladder. So that means you need a 19.0 ft ladder to reach the top of the wall.
