Mr Jones wants to buy a pencil for all pupils in year 7, there are 189 pupils in year 7. Pencils come in packs of 5. What is the least amount of packs he needs to buy

    Take out the 7 it is added in their as extra, just divide 189 by 5 to get 37.8, since he can't get. 8 of a pack we round it up to get 38 packs. To prove it we have 38 x 5 wich gets us 190 pencils, 1 for every student.
