Liam is setting up folding chairs for a meeting. If he arranges the chairs in 6 rows of the same length, he has 9 chairs left over. If he arranges the chairs in 4 rows of that same length, he has 13 left over. How many chairs does Liam have?

    9x + 3 = 7x + 19

    2x + 3 = 19

    2x = 16

    x = 8

    So, x (8) is the number of chairs in each row with these setups.

    9 (8) + 3 = 75

    There are 75 chairs total
