A television video game company has the following total expenses E and total incomes I for producing x number of games.

E=200+11x

I=120+x2

Write an equation to represent the profit p for selling x videos.

    Profit=income-expenses

    P = (120+x^2) - (200+11x)

    Add like terms

    P=x^2+11x-80

    That is your equation

    The answers are x = - 16 and 5 but since you can't sell negative video games, the only possible answer is 6
