Herman i standing on a ladder that is partly in a hole. he starts out on a rung that is 6 feet under ground, climbs up 14 feet, then climbs down 11 feet. what is herman's final position, relative to ground level?

    Its just a simple equation made to look harder.

    Since he started at 6 feet under, it would be - 6, and the he goes up 14, so its

    -6+14 = 8 Now hes at 8 feet above ground.

    Then he goes down 11 again so it would be 8 - 11 = - 3

    So at the end, he would be 3 feet below ground level.
