Perimeter is equal to 2l+2w where l is equal to length and w is equal to width. so for this rectangle the width can be found by pluggin in the known values which are the length and the perimeter. 2 (60) + 2w=222. now simplify the equation to get 120+2w=222. now get w by itself. subtract 120 from both sides. 2w=102. now divide both sides by 2. w=51. the width is 51. you can check this by adding 51 to 51 to 60 to 60. 60 plus 60 is 120. 51 plus 51 is 102. 102 plus 120 is 222. so 51 is your answer.
