    The answer to your question is mechanic 1 = $85, mechanic 2 = $45

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Data

    mechanic 1 = m₁ = 20 h

    mechanic 2 = m₂ = 15 h

    total charge = $2375

    two rates = $130

    Process

    1. - Write the equations to solve this problem

    20m₁ + 15m₂ = 2375 Equation l

    m₁ + m₂ = 130 Equation ll

    2. - Solve the system of equations by elimination. Multiply equation ll by - 15

    20m₁ + 15m₂ = 2375

    - 15 m₁ - 15 m₂ = - 1950

    5m₁ = 425

    m₁ = 425/5

    m₁ = 85

    3. - Calculate m₂

    85 + m₂ = 130

    m₂ = 130 - 85

    m₂ = 45
