Leo made a container to store his camping gear. The container is in the shape of a rectangular prism. The container has material covering all six sides.

Length = 4ft

width = 2ft

Height = 3ft

What is the capacity of the container?

    =4*3*2

    =24 cube ft

    material

    =2 (4*2) + 2 (2*3) + 2 (3*4)

    =16+12+24

    =52 square ft

    Volume = L x W x H = 4 x 2x 3 = 24 cubic feet.

    Material needed

    There are two sides that are 4 x 3, two sides that are 4 x 2 and 2 sides that are 3 x 2:
