    We are given : f1 = (7.4, 4.0) and f2 = (-7.4, - 6.2).

Where each first coordinate is x-component and second coordinate is y-component of force in newtons.

    So, for f1, we have x-component = 7.4 newtons and y-component = 4.0 and

    for f2, we have x-component = - 7.4 newtons and y-component = - 6.2.

In order to find exact x-component of f1 + f2, we just need to add those x-component of f1 + f2.

    On adding

    x-component of f1 + x-component f2, we get

    7.4 + (-7.4) = 7.4 - 7.4 = 0.

So, final answer is the exact x-component of f1 + f2 is 0 newton.
