    Remember that for a right triangle with legs length a and b and hpotonuse c

    a²+b²=c²

    given

    a=8

    b=6

    find c

    8²+6²=c²

    64+36=c²

    100=c²

    sqrt both sides

    10=c

    hypotonuse=10in
