Will the opposite of a number always, sometimes, or never be greater than the number itself? Explain. Provide an example to support your reasoning. (absolute values)

    Sometimes. for example, the opposite of 5 is - 5, which isn't greater than the number itself. but, the opposite of - 5 is 5, which is greater.
