What is the slope of the line?

y + 1 = 3 (x - 4)

    y+1=3 (x-4)

    Multiply the bracket by 3

    y+1=3x-12

    Follow y=mx+b Move + 1 to the other side. Sign changes from + 1 to - 1

    y+1-1=3x-12-1

    y=3x-13

    Slope=m = 3

    b = y-intercept=-13

    Answer: Slope=m=3 - D.
