    As 8 - 4 = 4 which is less than 12.

    Step-by-step explanation:

In a right-angled triangle the side opposite the right angle. This will always be the longest side of a right triangle. Considering a right angle triangle, with height 8 cm, base 4 cm and slant length 12 cm. The difference between the height and the base will always be less than the slant length (hypotenuse). Therefore, when eight is minus from four the answer is less than twelve.

    As 8 - 4 = 4 which is less than 12.
