    Use the distributive property

    7g - 63 + 12 = 26

    subtract 12 from both sides

    7g - 63 = 14

    Add 63 to both sides

    7g = 77

    divide 7 to both sides

    77/7 = 11

    26 = 7 (g-9) + 12

    26-12 = 7 (g-9) + 12-12

    14=7 (g-9)

    14/7 = 7 (g-9) / 7

    2 = g-9

    2+9 = g-9+9

    11 = g

    Check:

    26 = 7 ((11) - 9) + 12

    26 = 7 (2) + 12

    26 = 14+12

    26 = 26
