    combine like term:

    4x+1-x2-5 = - x2 + 4x-4

    x2 have no like term to combined with.

    same with 4x.

    but + 1 and - 5 could so it equal to - 4

    1-5=-4

    out it together would equal to - x2+4x-4

    I think it's going to be D

    Step-by-step explanation:

    4x+1=2x-5

    -4x-1 - 4x-1

    -2x=-4

    :2

    x=-2
