Calculate the number of protons and the number of neutrons for each of the below

    to calculate the number of protons and neutrons, you can look at the element on the periodic table. the number of protons is equal to the atomic number of the element (for example, hydrogen is the first element on the periodic table, so it has 1 proton).

    The number of neutrons is the mass number (listed on the periodic table as well) - the number of protons, aka the atomic number.

    for example, for the element krypton, we take the mass number, 83.80, and round it up to 84. Then we subtract it's atomic number, 36, from it, to get 48, which is the number of neutrons in the atom
