The temperature t in Kelvin is 273.15 more than the temperature c in degrees Celsius. Which function would you use to find the equivalent temperature in Kelvin for 100°C?

A) c (t) = t + 273.15; 373.15 K

B) t (c) = c + 273.15; 373.15 K

C) c (t) = t + 273.15; 153.75 K

D) t (c) = c + 273.15; 153.75 K

You must add 273.15 to the Celsius temperature (c) to get the Kelvin temperature (t). The function must contain c + 273.15.

    t (c) = c + 273.15; 373.15 K

    For 100°C,

    t (100) = 100 + 273.15

    t (100) = 373.15 K

    Answer: B) t (c) = c + 273.15; 373.15 K
