If Ian has 4 times as many nickels as dimes and they have a combined value of 180 cents, how many of each coin does he have?

    4 (.05) x + (.10) x = 180

    .20x +.10x = 180

    .30x = 180

    X = 6

    So. 4 times 6 = 24 nickels and 6 dimes = 180 cents
